Project Description

Lilwell

These exterior and interior CGI shots with full 360 panoramic views were created to showcase this unusual architectural project in Loddiswell, in Devon, for a private client.

This small, but incredible home, will be converted from a Nissen aircraft hut, showing what can be created in any space with a bit of architectural imagination.

The exterior CGI shots illustrate how the home will take the original semi-circle shape of an aircraft, with small windows dotted down the base of the building like an aeroplane. This bespoke home is covered in grey slate cladding which is juxtaposed with white render features, including four large curved steps that lead to the house and mirror the shape of the home. The back door will be the centrepiece, with two large floor-to-ceiling windows that open out to bring the outside in.

The interior visualisation shows how the Architects work with the original shape of the aircraft hut creating a light and spacious open-plan living area. The windows are the focal point but there are key interior details which make this space beautifully functional, but elegant and luxe. Details such as the honey-coloured wooden flooring which is contrasted with the slate colour of the window frames, and the traditional wood burner that sits between both windows. Spotlight lighting runs down the centre of the ceiling, like an aeroplane, reminding you of its heritage and bringing in plenty of light when the weather turns outside. The interior decor is kept neutral with mid-century style furniture and upholstery with pops of colour like mustard and teal.

We’re thrilled to be showing you these images from our partnership with our clients, giving them the chance to imagine how their building will finally look before the ground has even been broken. Our attention to detail means that these images also illustrate how the build will sit in its rural environment of rolling Devon countryside along the estuary. These intricate and precise details give clients a sense of visualising the space and picturing themselves moving about the home.
